The Nissan Ariya shook the world when it broke cover a while back. It was in whiff, the ultimate expression of Nissan’s future of mobility and connected cars. The brawny crossover is the most high-tech EV which scaffolds an entirely new platform to support EVs. After garnering profound interest worldwide and leaving everyone touched at the Expo 2020 Dubai event, it was on display at the #NOFILTERDXB event at Dubai Harbour where it took centrestage at the dais astonishing everyone with its radical design, futuristic interiors having oodles of space and a different layout of dashboard and most importantly, plenty of technology providing valuable insights into what the next cars from the brand can flank.

The motor cars and urban lifestyle event took place between the 24th and 27th November and was patronised by Arabian Automobiles of AWRostamani Group, the official dealer of Nissan cars in Dubai, Sharjah and Northern Emirates. Worth lauding about this car, is the fact that it is the most ground-breaking attempt by a mainstream automaker like Nissan towards achieving sustainability and witnessing a future with zero carbon footprint.

Its electric vehicle infrastructure and connectivity loaned by the Nissan Intelligent Mobility philosophy amalgamate for an experience like nothing else.

Michel Ayat, CEO of AWR Automotive, said: “As part of our continuous mission to align with the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy to make public transport emission-free by 2050, it gives us great pride to be showcasing the Nissan Ariya, which seeks to deliver the brand’s promise of innovation and excitement that is accessible to everyone. Dubai is exemplary in its vision of becoming a smart city, investing in infrastructure and providing financial advantages to EV drivers to promote electric mobility. As the pioneer that took electric cars to the global mainstream, Nissan is again breaking the mold in designing and building EVs with the Ariya.”

Choosing the Middle East region where legions of people are etched by automotives and technology, it is a testament of the Japanese marque’s commitment and dedication to the region ensuring a foreseeable future. Collaborating with upscale events such as the Expo 2020 Dubai to exhibit its progress made so far and the future, it aims to strengthen ties with the region as they together pledge to stymie the growth of exploitative practices of using raw materials and adopt a  sustainable pathway to be concomitant to the future generations so that they can accelerate with moxie.

Thierry Sabbagh, Managing Director at Nissan Middle East, said: “By daring to do what others don’t, we are proud to share our vision for the future of mobility with our customers in the UAE and across the region. Our focus on innovation and human-centric mobility solutions builds on our global expertise and progressive vision as we accelerate towards a safer, more sustainable and connected world. Showcasing the Ariya to the public for the first time in the region serves as a glimpse into the future that we are building today.”

The Ariya is a momentous step towards the philosophy of building driver-centric cars, an approach we are likely to see trickling its way down to other cars in the future as well. The kind of hubbub the car has generated, most are anticipated to impatiently wait what could come up in future that would be even more bonkers providing a new sphere to connectivity and driveability.
