Your deal rating

Pick the car, add its mileage and the asking price — we compare it with the fair market value in Bahrain.

The fair value is YallaMotor's estimate from the car's catalogue price, age, regional specs and mileage — not an inspection. Condition, accident and service history, options and demand move real prices; use the rating as a negotiating guide.

How to check if a used car's price is fair

  1. Enter the car

Make, model and model year from YallaMotor's car catalogue for Bahrain, plus its regional specs and mileage.

  2. We estimate its fair value

The new price is depreciated for age, then adjusted for the specs and for how the mileage compares with a typical car of that age.

  3. We rate the asking price

The price you were quoted is compared with the fair value and rated — Hot, Great, Good, Fair or Overpriced — with the fair range beside it.

What do the deal ratings mean?

Every rating compares the asking price with the car's estimated fair value in Bahrain. The closer to — or below — the fair value, the better the deal.

  • Hot Deal

An exceptional price — more than 25% under the fair value. Worth moving fast on, and worth asking why.
  • Great Deal

Great value — 15% to 25% under the fair value of similar cars.
  • Good Deal

Below the typical market value — 5% to 15% under the fair value.
  • Fair Deal

In line with the market — from 5% under to 5% over the fair value.
  • Overpriced

More than 5% above the fair value. Negotiate down or keep looking.

No rating means we don't have enough data for that car — the catalogue has no price for that model in any year.

What affects a used car's fair value?

  • Age

The new price loses about 8% a year and never falls below 35% of it — the biggest lever.
  • Regional specs

GCC-spec cars hold full value. European, Japanese, American, Canadian and other imports are worth less here — between 85% and 95% of the GCC-spec value.
  • Mileage

A typical car in Bahrain drives about 17,000 km a year. Less than that for its age adds value, more takes it away, up to 15% either way.
  • What it can't see

Condition, accident and service history, options and demand for the model. Check them before you pay — a Hot Deal on a damaged car is no deal.

Frequently asked questions

How is the fair value of a used car estimated?

From the car's new price in YallaMotor's catalogue for Bahrain, depreciated by about 8% for every year of age (never below 35% of the new price), then adjusted for its regional specs and for how its mileage compares with about 17,000 km a year. The fair range is 5% either side of that value.

What do Hot, Great, Good, Fair and Overpriced mean?

They are how far the asking price sits from the fair value: Hot is more than 25% under it, Great 15–25% under, Good 5–15% under, Fair from 5% under to 5% over, and Overpriced more than 5% above. The same bands as the deal badges on YallaMotor listings.

How is this different from the car valuation tool?

Car valuation tells a seller what their own car is worth. The fair price checker is for buyers: it takes the price someone is asking and tells you whether it is a good deal for that car, specs and mileage.

Why do regional specs change the value?

In Bahrain, GCC-spec cars are built for the climate, carry local warranty and resell most easily, so they hold full value. European, Japanese, American, Canadian and other imports sell for less — the checker takes that share off the fair value.

How much does mileage matter?

A typical car in Bahrain drives about 17,000 km a year. A car with less than that for its age is worth more, one with more is worth less — up to 15% either way in this estimate.

Why does it say "Not enough data"?

The checker needs the car's new price from YallaMotor's catalogue for Bahrain. When a model year has no price, it uses the newest year's price and says so under the year; only a model with no price in any year can't be rated.

Can I link straight to a verdict?

Yes. Add make, model, year and price (the asking price) to the page address, plus version, km and specs (e.g. gcc-specs) if you know them. The page opens with the car and its verdict already shown, and the address follows your changes, so you can copy it and share it.
