Quick Review
The 2012 Toyota Land Cruiser is the first Land Cruiser to be significantly updated since 2007. It retains the same 5.7 liter V8 as the 2011 model. Fuel economy is the same as the 2011 version, offering 15.7 L / 100 Km.
It retains the same presence as the 2011 Land Cruiser but has been given a sportier front grille, curvier front bumper and new LED-powered headlights. It looks softer compared to previous models and looks like a larger RAV4. Drivers looking at competitors such as the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Mercedes Benz GL Class should look at the Toyota first. It has a great amount of equipment as standard and can handle most kinds of terrain easily.
The Land Cruiser is an SUV firmly aimed at the higher end of the market. Its luxurious cabin, outfitted in comfortable leather, will ensure a pleasant journey even across the roughest of terrain. There are a plethora of gadgets as standard, including satellite radio, climate control, MP3 player and smart key system. Families with active lifestyles will appreciate being able to tow up to 3719 kg and the 5.7 liter V8 produces 530 Nm torque, letting it handle the roughest surfaces easily.
The Land Cruiser, despite its size and weight (2600 kg), is pleasant to drive. It handles tarmac as well as rough surfaces and the height provided gives you a commanding view of the road. Braking can be hard, so be careful. The vehicle is tough enough to handle any bumps or scrapes and will get you there in style.
