Selling my 2016 Honda Pilot as I recently moved closer to work, so I don't need a car for my daily commute anymore.
I've had it for around 3.5 years and used it as my daily car for work, as well as for family trips and weekend getaways. It's a really comfortable and spacious 8-seater, and it's been a good family car for us.
The mileage is 320,000 km, so I know that's not a small number. But one thing I can say is that I've spent quite a bit over the years keeping the car in good condition. I recently spent around AED 6,000 on the engine mount, radiator and alternator alone, all original parts (still under warranty). I've also replaced/attended to the suspension, bearings, axles, water pump, belts, spark plugs, coils, injectors, gaskets and various leaks. The AC compressor was also replaced a few years ago.
So the next owner isn't buying a car where all the major maintenance has been ignored. A lot of the expensive work has already been done. I've maintained this car because I depended on it every day and i actually intended to keep for as long as possible.
I'm asking AED 24,000, which I feel is a fair price considering the condition and the amount of maintenance already done. Few things the new owner will have to fix but not urgent (front suspension- driver side, hood faded paint, bumper garnish).
For transparency, the engine warning light is on and has been there since i bought it. It hasn't stopped me from driving the car normally, but I'd rather mention it upfront.

If you're looking for a big, comfortable and reliable family SUV and don't want to worry about wear related repairs, this is worth more than its price. You may see similar car of better cosmetics, the scary part is the unknown repairs that you will only discover after buying it. So, I'm confident that the new owner will not have to spend significant amount to keep this big car running coz i already have done it during my ownership.
AED 24,000 is a great deal for this family car!. The car has American specs. The car has no major problemsRead more
