Quick Review

The Nissan 370Z has undergone minimalistic changes for the 2012 model. Thankfully, it retains it futuristic design and brilliant driving dynamics. On the downside, the massive blind spots are still very much present. There are two versions available, a coupe and a roadster, both will bring a smile to a driving enthusiasts face since they come fitted with a 6 speed manual transmission.

Both the coupe and roadster come well equipped with a 3.6 liter 6 cylinder engine producing 328 horsepower and 363 Nm. Both boast a top speed of 250 Km/h, however the coupe can complete a 0 – 100 Km/h run in 5.1 seconds whereas the same 0 – 100 Km/h is completed in 6.5 seconds by the roadster.

In terms of the interior, the Nissan 370Z isn't particularly stripped down like most other sports car and boasts impressive bells and whistles such as a navigation system and high quality interior materials. On the downside, road noise is loud and thick roof pillars limit rear visibility causing huge blind spots. The boot is also ridiculously small and quite frankly should only be called a storage cubby. Even though the 370Z is a true sports car, safety features such as traction control, active head restraints, side impact airbags and side curtain airbags are all present.

When it comes to the exterior, it is pretty clear that the Nissan 370Z pays homage to it's grandfather the Datsun 240Z when seen from a side angle view. The dual exhaust tips and the spoiler add to the handsome looks of the 370Z.

However, if the 370Z does not meet your requirements, the BMW Z4, Mercedes-Benz SLK and Porsche Cayman make good alternatives.
