An Iraqi man has been arrested by the Sharjah Police charged with stealing rear seats from SUV cars parking in the Industrial Zone 5 of the emirate.

The Police have been informed that a guard of a workshop saw a man breaking the glass of the back window for an SUV and stole the car’s rear seats and ran away quickly.

The suspect has been identified by a Police team where the team followed and arrested  when he was on his way to sell the things he stole.

The Iraqi national man confessed to the charges and has been sent to Sharjah’s public prosecution.

Razak Asad of Sharjah Police’s Department of Criminal Investigation is asking people not to leave their cars in abandoned or deserted areas, particularly at night.

He also requested that if anyone who owns a vehicle that has been damaged or broken into, whether they’re from the public or workshops, to contact the police immediately on 999 or 06-5632222 or 06-5529000.
