GAC Motor launches sports-sedan Empow in the Middle East

Chinese brands are garnering quite a lot of attention and, very importantly, customers in the region. And so it doesn’t come as a surprise that Gargash Group, one of the largest distributors of luxury cars in the UAE, has launched GAC Motor’s sporty sedan - the Empow - in the Middle East market. For those of you who don’t know, GAC Motor is currently the fifth largest automobile manufacturer in China.

So let’s talk about the car in question. GAC says that it offers “ultimate handling” and that the carmaker has given the sedan a sports-car-like stance. The Empow is said to have a youthful feel to it with its 1.5TGDI engine packing 177 horsepower & 270 Nm torque along with a user-friendly center console. There are lots of other features like wireless charging and, a very important bit of safety tech, Level 2 ADAS.

A very interesting thing is that the Middle East market is the first one to get the sporty Empow as part of GAC Motor’s “strategic importance within the region.”

The car is available in five colors: Classy Black, Moon Grey, Ivory White, Glossy Fighter Green and Matte Fighter Green. Test drives will be open from early 2023 at Gargash Motors’ GAC Motor showrooms across Dubai & Abu Dhabi.
