Want a Lamborghini Urus but want things to be a bit subdued? Well, if that’s the case, then Audi is here to help you. Meet the RSQ3 - the closest thing ever to a Mini Lamborghini Urus.

audi

We call this the Mini Urus because a) it’s got new design elements to it and b) it is super powerful.

audi

Starting with the design, at the front you will find a different design which looks pretty debatable, if we’re being completely honest here. It seems like the designer had different designs and wanted to shove them all at once which some people might like while some won’t. The car we tested had the Glossy Black Styling Package which meant that the car had black window contours, black side mirrors and other black highlights.

At the back you will find a very sporty looking rear end, some RS badging, and a proper diffuser. Now this ‘that’ is what we call sporty. Open the boot and you will find a whopping 530 litres of space. Not bad at all.

audi

A very cool thing about the RSQ3 is that it has got little projectors just under the side mirror which project the Audi logo on the ground. Now who doesn’t like that?

Remember we told you at the start that it is super powerful? Yeah, it really is super powerful because it has 400hp and 480Nm of torque from a 5-cylinder turbo engine. These are sports car power figures!

audi

Step inside and you will find Audi’s glorious virtual cockpit, a Bang and Olufsen sound system, lots of alcantara, a flat bottom steering wheel and RS sports seats at the front. The RSQ3 also has 21st Century creature comforts like ambient lighting and 3 zone climate control.

audi

Few things we didn’t like about the interior and the steering wheels is that the headroom is a bit less at the back and the car has plastic paddle shifters. We wish it would’ve been better if they were made from aluminum.

audi

While the RSQ3 has Quattro badges, it has a more front wheel biased system called Haldex so it’s not a proper AWD SUV. On the road, the 7 speed DCT auto works really well and there is good noise isolation as well. You get a more sporty feel thanks to stiff springs, dampers and suspension that is 10mm lower to the ground. The car has 375mm perforated disk brakes at the front (which can be upgraded to carbon ceramics) and it sits on 20” wheels.

audi

All in all, at the price of 281,600 AED (including VAT), the RSQ3 is a complete package. If you want more practicality than a typical Audi, like the A3 sedan, then the RSQ3 will give you that along with sports-car-like performance.
