Porsche 911 2019

The Porsche 911 is one of the all-time automotive greats, and has been revolutionizing the way sports cars are perceived. The 911 became the best-selling sports car in the world and soon made Porsche a household name, helping them cement their reputation as a world-class automaker. The Porsche 911 was first unveiled back in 1963 and since then, it has gone through a whole host of design and mechanical changes in order to improve its appeal and performance.

The Porsche 911 is a silhouette that cannot be mistaken for any other car on the road. Its form factor and design are more about steady evolution rather than dramatic revolution.  Today, the 911 enjoys a massive following and loyal customer base. Currently in its third generation as the 991 series, the new 2019 Porsche 911 is faster, safer, and more technological advanced than it has ever been in its long history. However, 55 years on and competition has never been tougher for the 911, with the likes of the Audi R8, Jaguar F-Type, Nissan GT-R, and Chevrolet Corvette all prying for top position.

Exterior

The 2019 Porsche 911 is one of the most technologically-advanced sports cars ever, and its timeless, primordial shape has seen small changes and tweaks over the years and in its newest avatar, the 2019 911 is now a thoroughly modern car in every way.

The 2019 Porsche 911’s aerodynamic front end features a low hood that’s flanked by rounded ridges. The 911 now gets stylish LED headlamps with surround-LED daytime-running lights, while the bumper integrates LED turn signals, multiple air intakes/scoops, and a subtle front splitter.

The side profile reveals beautiful curves and muscular haunches, large alloy wheels, pulled-back A-pillars and windscreen, and an ever-sloping coupe-like roofline. The 911’s overall stance exudes a sense of confidence and speed. Around the back, there are the stunning wide hips over the rear wheels, sloping rear window, air vents for the engine, the 911’s computer-controlled wing, and the sleek LED taillights and dual sports exhausts.

The 2019 Porsche 911 (Turbo) measures 4.506 meters in length, 1.880 meters in width, 1.296 meters in height, and has a wheelbase of 2.450 meters. Also, the 911’s front boot has a capacity of 115 liters.

Interior

The interior of the 2019 Porsche 911 is a splendid place for two adults, though the 2+2 configuration means that there are two really small seats at the back. The cabin of Porsche’s flagship is home to spectacular attention to detail, faultless build quality, immaculate fit & finish, and top-rate materials. The dynamic center stack design along with the sporty driving position isn’t too aggressive, and all the controls are logically laid out.

Among the 911’s endless features are adaptive LED lights, carbon ceramic brakes, adaptive rear wing, sports exhaust, adaptive dampers, automatic climate control, Alcantara/leather trim, paddle shifters, electrically-adjustable front seats, a 7-inch touch-display with navigation, and a premium sound system. The Porsche 911’s advanced passive and active safety systems and multiple driver aids makes this one of the safest cars on the road.

Engine and performance

The 2019 Porsche 911 is available in various avatars and engine options. Also, it can be equipped with either a manual or automatic transmission, and with either rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive. The insane 911 GT2 RS gets a 3.8-liter turbo-charged, flat-six that produces 700 HP and 750 Nm of torque. Geared to a PDK transmission and spinning the rear wheels, the GT2 RS can hit 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and tops out at 340 km/h.
